Maria Jacinto

Maria João Jacinto has been executive director of Patient Innovation since February 2020. Maria João has joined Patient Innovation since 2019, and since then she has been coordinating several projects, including 'Patient Innovation Bootcamp', an acceleration program to help patients and caregivers to scale-up the solutions that they have develop to cope with a need related with the medical condition that they face for which there was no solution in the market.

With her background in bioengineering (Ph.D. degree framed in MIT Portugal program), Maria João aims to continue to empower patients and highlight their significant innovation potential through research and applied activities.
